What we handle for you

You focus on your family. We handle the claim.

From first call to final payment, here’s what we take off your plate.

01
First notice of loss
We contact your insurance carrier to open the claim on your behalf. You don’t have to figure out who to call or what to say.
02
Full documentation
Photographic evidence, moisture readings, thermal imaging, and written scope — everything your adjuster needs, documented to the standard they require.
03
Adjuster coordination
We meet with your adjuster on-site, walk them through the damage, and advocate for a complete and accurate scope of work.
04
Scope negotiation
Adjusters sometimes miss items or undervalue damage. We know what to look for and how to supplement claims when additional damage is discovered.
05
Direct billing
We bill your insurance carrier directly. You pay your deductible. The process is transparent from start to finish — no surprise costs.
06
Certified drying documentation
We provide IICRC-standard drying logs and moisture records that insurance companies require to close the claim. No documentation gaps, no payment delays.
Common misconceptions

Things homeowners get wrong about water damage claims.

These mistakes cost people thousands of dollars. We help you avoid them.

✕ Myth
“I should call my insurance company before calling a restoration company.”
✓ Reality
Call restoration first. Stopping the damage is the most urgent priority. Every hour of delay increases the scope and cost of the claim. We help you document and notify the insurance company correctly from the start.
✕ Myth
“The adjuster is on my side and will catch everything.”
✓ Reality
Adjusters work for the insurance company. They’re not your advocate. Missed line items, undervalued materials, and incomplete scopes are common. Our team knows what adjusters often miss and advocates for a complete, accurate claim.
✕ Myth
“I can dry this out myself with fans to avoid a claim.”
✓ Reality
Household fans move surface air but don’t remove moisture from inside walls, subfloor, and structural materials. This approach almost always leads to hidden mold discovered weeks or months later — often not covered because of the delay in professional response.
✕ Myth
“My claim will make my rates go up so I should pay out of pocket.”
✓ Reality
Rate increases depend on your carrier, claim history, and state regulations. On a $15,000–$30,000 water damage job, paying out of pocket to avoid a modest rate increase rarely makes financial sense. We can help you think through the numbers before you decide.
What’s covered

Coverage depends on your specific policy.

Every homeowner’s insurance policy is different. What’s covered — and what isn’t — depends on your carrier, your policy terms, your riders, and the specific circumstances of your loss. We never make assumptions about your coverage until we’ve reviewed your situation.

⚠ Factors that affect your claim

How quickly you reported the loss • Whether the source was sudden or gradual • Your specific policy riders • Your carrier’s adjuster interpretation • Documentation quality • Prior claims history

⚠ Common claim complications

Delayed reporting • Incomplete documentation • Missing before-photos • DIY attempts before professional assessment • Not understanding what your policy actually says

✓ How we protect your claim

Immediate professional documentation • Certified moisture readings • Full photographic record • Adjuster-ready reports • We advocate for the most complete scope possible

We are not insurance agents and cannot tell you what your policy covers. What we can do is help you document everything correctly and advocate for a fair, complete claim. Call us and we’ll walk through your situation at no charge.

Common questions

Insurance claim FAQ.

No. You have the right to choose your own restoration contractor regardless of what your insurance company suggests. Insurance-preferred vendors are not always the best option for you — they often have agreements that prioritize the carrier’s costs. You are entitled to hire any licensed, certified contractor.
Most straightforward claims are settled within 2–4 weeks after all work is complete and documentation is submitted. More complex claims with supplements, disputes, or large scopes can take longer. We stay involved throughout the process and follow up with adjusters on your behalf to keep things moving.
A denial isn’t always final. We can help you understand the reason for denial, gather additional documentation, and in some cases assist with the appeals process. We can also provide private-pay pricing if you ultimately proceed without insurance.
Typically: photos of all affected areas taken immediately, moisture readings showing the extent of damage, a written scope of work, itemized estimates, and certified drying logs showing the drying process was completed to IICRC standard. We handle all of this as part of every job.

Don’t navigate the claim alone.

We’ve worked hundreds of insurance claims in the Midlands. We know what adjusters look for and how to make sure you get what you’re owed.
